I’m Julia Gottlieb – a visual storyteller with a passion for marketing and a determination to do good through design.

When I established Amadeus Brand in 2013, I’d spent a decade working both agency and client-side for some of Australia’s biggest financial service brands, as well as a move to South East Queensland where I marketed major sporting events such as the Gold Coast Marathon and Pan Pacific Masters Games.

This experience helped fine-tune my understanding of how brands and businesses work, the importance of consistency in messaging, and the powerful impact that brand identity can have on a business’s bottom line.

I’d also experienced first-hand the dizzying cost that high-quality brand strategy could climb to; something that is out of reach for most small and medium-sized enterprises or teams with limited marketing budgets.

When the birth of my first child coincided with the completion of my Masters degree in Marketing, I re-evaluated my career path. I knew I wouldn’t be content treading water in a family-friendly corporate role; career-wise I wanted these years to count as much as any.

I also wanted to generate business on my own terms, do really interesting work and be around for my family when they needed me.

I took a deliberate step away from the ‘9 to 5’ to find where I could be of greatest impact: where sound marketing and brand strategy meets great graphic design in a way that’s accessible to businesses of all sizes.

In the ten years since then, Amadeus Brand hasn’t looked back. My greatest challenge — and joy — comes from helping people and organisations find their unique brand voice and flourish.
