Wendy is a fashion blogger, author and speaker who's built an enviable reputation as a fashion stylist and trainer. She's a regular on TV, showing us how to make fashion accessible for the everyday woman so that they can look great and feel confident. 

The brief

To design a Wordpress site for Wendy's website revamp, as well as refresh, refine and define the branding to enable third-party suppliers to be able to execute the brand flawlessly. 

The Creative

All the basics - logo, colour, fonts - were in place from Wendy's last website build, back in 2013. However, a lot happens in web design over the course of four years, and it was an ideal opportunity to refresh some of the branding elements so that they could really sing when used in today's modern digital environment. 

I took some of the key colours (such as her iconic aqua) and created a new palette that was neutral enough to suggest an understated refinement, but bright enough to reflect Wendy's personality and preferences. The logo also underwent some simple refinement to enable it to fit flawlessly into its new digital home. We rolled these out across the website design, as well as some social media templates for Instagram and Facebook.

Finally, all of the new elements were pulled together into an easy-to-use style guide for Wendy's various creative suppliers to enable them to understand and apply the new brand.
